I had a great stay in a lovely hotel located in a quiet residential area, just a short walk from the city centre. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast had a wide selection of fresh food. I enjoyed the view of the private gardens and the old traditional school in the background. The hotel also had a cozy lounge area with a log fire.
The bar area lacked character and charm.

The staff was loyal and the food was fabulous. It is in a quiet street, in a shopping area. The suite had everything you need. It was close to inverleith boating pond...

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great service and nice lounge areas. The breakfast was very good, and there were several restaurants nearby. The room was quiet and of nice size.
The room was quite dated and worn, with no air conditioning. The bar area was very worn and in desperate need of a refurb.

The welcome is always excellent, the hotel is comfortable and the restaurant always lives up to standard
As a single traveller, I like to read between courses but the dining room is too dimly lit!!! you can tell How good the rest is if this is the only fault I can find

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were cozy, clean, and spacious, with all the necessary facilities. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel had a warm and homely feel, with a grand fireplace always lit in the lobby. The location was perfect, just a 15-minute walk from the city center. We also loved the fact that the hotel was near a park recommended to us by a local, called Stocksbridge, known for its charity shops.
Nothing to be said.

Over the Easter break, I stayed at a charming boutique hotel in a lovely area. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with plenty of options to choose from. The hotel's location was perfect, providing easy access to nearby shops and attractions. the room was tastefully decorated and had a comfortable bed.
The decor of the hotel was slightly outdated and could use some modern touches. , the hotel lacked a gym or fitness center, which would have been a nice addition to the amenities offered.

Location of hotel, informality & friendliness of the staff
Size of the bedroom & the wholly inadequate lighting in the room. During our stay the hotel seemed very understaffed. Our memory is one waiting for attention at the front desk or at the bar or in the restaurant, always waiting !
